Vice President, Piedmont Geotechnical Consultants
As Vice President, Jesse Whittemore has been responsible for project execution support for environmental, geotechnical and construction materials testing/IBC Special Inspection services on a wide range of development/construction projects. Mr. Whittemore has also been responsible for the overview management and supervision of the construction materials testing department for Piedmont Geotechnical Consultants, LLC.
Mr. Whittemore’s fields of expertise are as follows: project management and client liaison for numerous commercial, retail, heavy civil, county, office, industrial/warehouse, higher education, high-rise, athletic, mixed use and student housing development projects. Mr. Whittemore has worked for PGC for over 21 years and his responsibilities have included operations management, client management, project management and execution support, estimating, project scheduling and planning support, cost analysis, technical proposal and cost preparation, resolution and coordination of nonconforming construction items/issues, subcontractor acquisition, plan and specification review and contract/budget administration.
Mr. Whittemore has been involved in the “up-front” due diligence of site acquisition from an environmental, civil, geotechnical, architectural, structural and financial perspective. He has worked with owners, civil engineers, architects, structural engineers, developers and other team members on development and design build projects for industrial, office, mixed use, high rise, student housing, apartment, heavy civil, hotel, religious, condominium, commercial and retail projects. Mr. Whittemore is a graduate of civil engineering from Auburn University and has over 30 years of experience in the fields of environmental and geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing/International Building Code (IBC) Special Inspections.
